Oltea’s professional experience covers more than 20 years in areas such as brand strategy and management, marketing strategy and implementation, marketing research, digital marketing, social media, internal communication, CSR, and PR. She gained her experience as a marketer while working in a variety of industries from banking, international business (industrial projects), to IT&C, or e-commerce.
Her professional path offered her the chance to be part of several important projects or organizational turnarounds: branding and rebranding projects, mergers & acquisitions, marketing of IPO, in some of them even acting as Project Manager.
Before starting as a consultant, Oltea’s professional journey included several renowned national and international brands. One of the first was CEC Bank, where she managed the rebranding process leading to gaining market share and doubling its brand financial value in 10 years. She also got involved in launching award-winning campaigns and in implementing value-adding special projects for CEC Bank. There was also VIVRE, a home & deco e-commerce platform, active in 9 countries, where she set the basis of a formal brand strategy and Brand Book. Flamingo Computers is another example, where she experienced a merger and an IPO. She also worked for Edwards International Group, a Swedish-Romanian Group of companies and for Raiffeisen Bank during its first years on the Romanian market.
Oltea is committed to helping entrepreneurs regard brands as valuable assets, with a measurable financial value and a coherent brand strategy that could provide answers to the many dilemmas that a company faces.
For many years Oltea acted as Board Member and Treasurer for the Romanian Advertising Council, the Romanian self-regulatory body that promotes ethical advertising.
Oltea Belciuganu believes in the fundamental role of continuous formal and informal education. She is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest – International Business and Economics (2001), and of the Romanian Canadian MBA from ASE, HEC Montreal, and Ottawa School of Management (2005). For over 10 years, Oltea has been awarded the Chartered Marketer status. She has two Level 6 degrees from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) – Professional Diploma in Marketing (2010) and Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing (2020).
